This is probably the only vegan restaurant in London that doesn't own a deep frier & the only one I can even eat at! It also happens to be fabulous! The chef and owner is my kind of vegan. He takes extreme pride in his work, selection of fresh ingredients. Its not fast food, it takes about 45 minutes from the time you order. He bakes most items, keeping them low fat. This is also one of the few vegan/veg restaurants that'll cater to your desires. We had the tofu mix burger done oil free with baked potatoes instead of chips. It was absolutely fantastic! The fresh herbs just jump out of the tomato sauce! Absolutely fabulous, friendly, fresh and healthy! Both the chef and I were talking about how we can't even eat in any of London's veg restaurants because finding whole foods is near impossible! 222 Veggie Vegan is a healthy Vegan Oasis in London! I love their slogan "Natural Food in this Artificial World" that perfectly describes my daily plight of being a vegan in an increasingly processed vegan world.
